Between the Rhone valley and the Vaudois Alps, the region of Aigle-Leysin-Col des Mosses boasts a long tourist, sports and wine heritage. A wine-touristic region par excellence, which welcomes skiers of all levels as well as cross-country skiers at its Espace Nordique on Col des Mosses.
The south-facing ski area of Leysin attracts visitors looking for the sun while practising their favourite sport. From Leysin, skiers can easily join the Col des Mosses-La Lécherette ski area and thus take advantage from more than 100 km of ski slopes. Ideal for families and beginners, Col des Mosses is famous for its Espace Nordique. In short, it is the perfect area for cross-country skiing. In addition, children up to nine years ski for free everywhere!
Winter sports are taken to their highest level with many competitions such as GiantXtour, the freeride competition of Leysin. In other ski areas, the International Dog Sled Competition at Col des Mosses and the Worldwide Festival in Leysin attract a growing audience.
Aigle, the gate to the Vaudois Alps, is also the first vineyard of the Chablais AOC appellation. Surrounded by vineyards, the magnificent castle of Aigle houses the interactive Vine and Wine Museum.
